What we collect
HandoffHQ collects account information (name, email), workplace data you enter (handoffs, tasks, issues, checklists), and basic usage data needed to operate the service.
How we use data
Your data powers shift handoffs, task tracking, issue memory, and manager insights for your workplace. If you enable OpenAI, handoff and Ask features may send relevant workplace context to OpenAI for processing.
Who can see your data
Workplace data is only accessible to authenticated members of that workplace. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Service providers
We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting. If you enable AI features, relevant workplace context may be sent to OpenAI for processing. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
Cookies & local storage
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Demo mode stores sample data in your browser's local storage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Demo mode
Demo data is stored locally in your browser and is not sent to our servers unless you explicitly submit it while using demo API features.
Your rights
You can export your workplace data from Settings. To request account or workplace deletion, contact privacy@handoffhq.net.
Security
We use industry-standard authentication and database security through Supabase, including row-level security policies that restrict data access by workplace membership.
